Looks delicious! If you haven’t heard of the magical combination of sushi and burrito before, it can be found at the aptly named Sushirrito in San Francisco’s South of Market district.

The crazy idea planted itself in Peter Yen’s brain six years ago, but it didn’t really take off until he graduated from business school and started looking for a chef.

On Craigslist he found Ty Mahler, who used to cook at Roy’s in San Francisco, and the two began experimenting with how to pump up a sushi roll but maintain its structural integrity. “We changed the vinegar in the rice. We use a special kind of rice. We use a special kind of nori made for us,” Mr. Mahler said of the seaweed found in sushi.
